<description>Method for Estimating Cost of New Ship Building with Linear Regression
Azhar, Ali; Kristiyono, Tri Agung
The request of a fleet of marine transportation can be fulfilled by constructing new &#13;
vessels and purchasing secondhand vessels. The current constraints in building new vessels are cost relatively expensive and take a long time, while the advantages for the procurement of vessels of secondhand time relatif faster and the price is cheaper. New shipbuilding includes complex work with the multy year’s payment system, so it is important to develop the cost budget needed to build a new ship. The price should be adjusted concerning material needs and services with the standard market price during the completion time of the work and expected the calculation of the construction of a ship can be updated periodically. The research aims to identify, analyse and construct the cost estimation of the construction of the ferry types: 300 GT, 500 GT, 600 GT, 750 GT and its components. The stages that will be carried out in this study are to identify primary and secondary data relating to the construction costs of ferries and their components with field surveys, market surveys, and relevant library studies. Data is processed by linear regression methods to construct an estimate of the cost of building ferries and their &#13;
components. Results obtained in the form of graphs and equivalencies of the cost of building ferries and material cost components, labour costs, and shipyard and third party cost

<description>THE INFLUENCE OF EYE STALK ABLATION TO GONADAL MATURITY OF MUD CRAB SCYLLA SERRATA THAT CULTIVATED ON BATTERY CELL CAGE
Wijaya, Nirmalasari Idha; Triyanto
The aim of the research is to know the level of Gonadal Maturity (GM) female crab with eye &#13;
ablation technique. The research was executed at ponds of Semanting Village, in Derawan Island &#13;
District, Berau Regency, East Kalimantan Province. The animal tests was female mud crab (Scylla &#13;
serrata) genitals mature which had early body carapace width ranging 90-120 mm, undeveloped &#13;
ovary (immature) but had done copulation. The experimental design utilizerandomized block design. &#13;
treatment was done ablation of 100% right eye stalk (treat A), ablation of 50% right eye stalk (treat &#13;
B), and without ablation (treat C), with three replications, were applied. These were grown for two &#13;
weeks maintained on battery cell cage. The results of the study, showed that to reach the gonad &#13;
maturity level IV or perfectly mature, the parent crab treated eye stalk ablation 100% (A) shows the &#13;
percentage achieved relatively higher, reaching 66,7% compared to the parent crab treated with &#13;
ablation of 50% (B) which only reached 53,3%. However, statistical tests both treatments showed no &#13;
significant difference (P&gt; 0,05). While the parent crab ablation untreated (control), indicating the &#13;
percentage achievement of gonad maturity level is lower than the parent crab treated with ablation &#13;
of only 23,3%. In the only treatment A statistical test that showed significant differences with the &#13;
control (P &lt;0,05), while treatment B showed no significant difference with control (P&gt; 0,05). Other &#13;
parameters observed in this research is the gonad maturation index and survival rate, which shows &#13;
the result of three treatments statistically was not real different (P&gt;0,05). The value of water &#13;
quality measurements include temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen and salinity during the research is &#13;
still optimal for the maintenance of mud crab. The concluded of the research was the treatment of &#13;
eyestalk ablation effective accelarated gonadal mature..

The Implementation of modular construction shipbuilding aims to accelerate ship production so that delivery time can be shortened. However, in its implementation, delay for completing and delivery the ship can still be found. The delay in delivery is influenced by the supply chain performance of the shipyard due to delays in design, material, and financial payments. This delay occurred due to the large number of sub-module and module construction works carried out in parallel. The works include hull construction, painting, outfitting and installation of equipments.This study aims to analyze the performance of the supply chain in shipyard that implementing modular construction system. In the initial stage, the study is conducted by defining the factors and parameters that affect supply chain performance in shipbuilding and determining factors that have the potential to cause delivery delays. The conceptual and technical approach is carried out by analyzing the causal relationship of the factors that have identified in the previous stage. Dominant factors that cause delays that occur in ship building are expected to find and observe using system dynamics approach.Keywords: Supply chain performance, Modular construction, System dynamic.

The Blue Economy concept begins with Artemia salt farming. The salt farming industry is one of the pillars supporting the economic of coastal community. However, in the market, most of salt consumed have iodine level that is less than 30 ppm. Therefore, it is necessary to measure the supply of iodized salt from the market to reach 30 - 80 ppm iodium according to Indonesia National Standard because it can impact our health. Thus, it was necessary to repair the iodized salt production equipment through an iodine spray device on the machine. The result of spray setting modification technology on macro ranged from 38 - 45 ppm which fulfilled Indonesia National Standard

Abstract. Blue Economy concept began with the farming of Artemia salt. The industry of farmer’s salt was one of the pillars that supported the economy of coastal communities. At present, the perspectives of the public on an industrial salt production is less profitable and conducted by unskilled laborers. Nowadays, the farmer still use the evaporation total method of sea water by solar power, where the NaCl was ≤ 90% and residual brine. It is necessary to improve the salt production through combination between disc-mill and distillation evaporation technology to produce salt diversification product. The result of the combination process were refined salt with NaCl that was ≥ 90%, liquid salt with NaCl that was ± 60% and mineral water.

<title>CFD Analysis into the Correlation between Resistance and Seakeeping of Trimaran Configuration</title>
<link>http://dspace.hangtuah.ac.id:8080/xmlui/handle/dx/882</link>
<description>CFD Analysis into the Correlation between Resistance and Seakeeping of Trimaran Configuration
Luhulima, Richard Benny; Utama, IKAP; Sutiyo, Sutiyo; Suwasono, Bagiyo
The development of marine transportation is growing rapidly to fulfil human needs. Furthermore, the use of trimaran vessels desperately needs to be developed to transport human and goods. The use of trimaran is very advantageous because it has large deck area compared to monohull with similar displacement. The calculation of trimaran vessel resistance with variations in the distance of the main hull and side hull transversely using Computational Fluid Dynamic approach was carried out. Then, seakeeping analysis is done to obtain the ship motion. Both resistance and seakeeping calculations were analyzed for resistance and seakeeping correlation. The results of numerical studies indicate that there is unique interference resistance in trimaran hull to transverse distance between hulls. The smaller distance between trimaran hulls, the greater resistance caused by interference of the constraints components that occur. Then, the apparent correlation between resistance and seakeeping is the increasing interference that causes heave and pitch motion to decrease. Interference does not affect roll motion. The numerical analysis shows that at a distance between hulls transversely 0.4 shows excellent results for the performance of resistance and seakeeping.

<title>WAKE TURBULENCE AND DIMENSIONAL LENGTH CHANGES INFLUENCE ON CONVENTIONAL SHIP BASED ON RESISTANCE CRITERIA</title>
<link>http://dspace.hangtuah.ac.id:8080/xmlui/handle/dx/881</link>
<description>WAKE TURBULENCE AND DIMENSIONAL LENGTH CHANGES INFLUENCE ON CONVENTIONAL SHIP BASED ON RESISTANCE CRITERIA
Suwasono, Bagiyo; Munazid, Ali; Poundra, GAP; Sutiyo, Sutiyo
In the utilization as a floating vessel, ships shall always interact with the dynamic of the fluids in her surrounding environment. Through this interaction, some wake turbulence will be formed as the ship cruise along the water. On a conventional ship, length has become one of the factors which can create various numbers and forms of wake turbulence, this wake turbulence then believed can provides the positive Turbulence Kinetic Energy (TKE) that be able to enhance the ship acceleration or the negative one which creates more ship resistance. The investigation concerned on how the dimensional length changes of the conventional ship will affect the TKE through the wake turbulence analysis. The research carried out numerically with Ansys Fluent CFD code for the further turbulence impact analyzing and will only focus on ship performance based on the resistance criteria with ideal condition boundary layer which can be the research parameter. The overall results were compared with published data for validation purposes. The results are also believed to be useful for the development of the maritime industry

<title>Adaptive DOCR Coordination in Loop Electrical Distribution System With DG Using Artificial Neural Network LMBP</title>
<link>http://dspace.hangtuah.ac.id:8080/xmlui/handle/dx/765</link>
<description>Adaptive DOCR Coordination in Loop Electrical Distribution System With DG Using Artificial Neural Network LMBP
Abstract - To design the coordination protection for&#13;
passive distribution system is not the tough work, while active&#13;
or mesh distribution system which consists many distributed&#13;
generators is quite more challenge for protection engineers.&#13;
Additionally, the short circuit current will also vary if any DG&#13;
in the system is offline, which causes to re-coordinate the relay&#13;
protection in the system. To reset the relay protection, the&#13;
engineers need more time. However In order to reduce the time&#13;
of relay setting calculation, the adaptive protection coordination &#13;
is proposed in this study by using artificial neural network. The &#13;
study bases on the combinations of DGs’ state and the current&#13;
short circuit levels as the input data and low setting of the&#13;
directional overcurrent relays (DOCR) as the output data&#13;
training. This research is conducted on modified IEEE 9-bus&#13;
system equipped with distributed generators. After reaching&#13;
convergence of Levenberg-Marquardt Back Propagation&#13;
(LMBP) learning process, the results of weights and biases are&#13;
compiled into the master controller to control all of the relays in&#13;
the whole system. It will generate the relay setting automatically&#13;
base on the results of ANN training. The results of this research&#13;
have been testified in Etap simulation successfully and it is&#13;
obvious that LMBP neural network is a robust method to model&#13;
adaptive relay coordination system.
