Abstract:
Salt business productivity Indonesian people still have not contributed to the domestic . During the processing
of salt that people using the total evaporation of sea water with solar energy with the results of NaCl salt content
of less than 80 % . So it needs further processing to meet the desired category I and II quality with NaCl content of
≤ 94.4 % ≤ 98 % NaCl . Efforts to increase the production of salt people through an integrated technology by
creating salt leaching process equipment design to improve the content of NaCl concentration and speed the
production process as well as eliminating impurities or impurities contained therein so as to save energy , time
and place for the vast salt farmers . Of this study produced a wash tank in stages as the salt leaching ( washing
wet ) optimal and dump tanks to store water and salt from the prestige of diskmill . Outcomes of this tool design a
product 2 salt ( non- iodized ) derived from : the milk is supplied on disk dump tanks and process tanks wask rise .
The effects of this form of wet washing crystallization with the possibility of a high percentage levels of NaCl or
MgCl . From the results of lab tests show that the people who originally only salt NaCl concentration range
83.30 % to 87.04 % , after going through the wash tank is stratified expected to increase to 97.87 % . As for the
speed of the process is expected to more than 10 kg per menit .
